|A PASSION FOR CLEANLINESS
AND LOVE OF THE ENVIRONMENT:
Polti stands for a new way of cleaning that is more ecological, more thorough, yet faster and easier at the same time. Water is the engine driving Polti products. Vaporetto and Vaporetto Lecoaspira make water into steam to clean without chemicals or pollutants, offering huge benefits and helping protect a treasure of unmeasurable value: nature. Transformed into the powerful steam of Vaporella, water makes ironing perfect, saving time and effort. And in the Lecologico line, the water in the Ecoactive Filter traps dust and purifies the air.
POLTI’S GREEN REVOLUTION
Every year Polti earmarks a large proportion of the funds it invests for Research and Development aimed at making its appliances more efficient. One of Polti’s most recent new projects is revising the Vaporetto Lecoaspira line, a revision that began with the new “Lecoaspira 712” model. Lecoaspira 712 offers the same high performance as the other appliances in the line while saving a significant amount of energy (20%) thanks to its new boiler.
SANITISING AND FIGHTING CONTAMINATION
WITHOUT HARMING THE ENVIRONMENT
The search for solutions for sanitising rooms with steam without harming human health or the environment doesn’t stop in the home. Polti is working with several scientific institutions and organisations on identifying the greatest risks to human health due to biological contamination and developing innovative products for solving this problem. The revolutionary Sani System Polti sanitisation system is a solution for application in all locations where it is important to keep microbiological contamination down to certain minimum safety levels.
All suppliers are required to guarantee that their components and materials are non-polluting and contain no hazardous substances, in accordance with the standards set by European directives and the Rohs and Reach regulations.
DISPOSAL AT THE END OF THE PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE
Polti products are made out of materials that can be recycled at the end of their useful life cycle and assembled with no welds or fixed joints so that these materials can be separated and grouped by type for proper disposal. In Italy Polti is a founding member of EcoPed, a national non-profit association for recycling small home appliances formed in January 2006 by leaders in the field of electrical and electronic appliances (EEA) to meet their obligations under Legislative Decree 151/2005 in management of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
A few years ago Polti began a process of reviewing its packaging and is gradually switching toward the use of cardboard in only the outer box and the inner protective pieces, working with its suppliers on coming up with innovative solutions resistant to all the drop tests required by international tables and standards without wasting materials and without using polystyrene, expanded foam or pollutants of any kind.
